2023 Annual Town Meeting & Election

The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, June 3rd from 9am-1pm in the John James Memorial Hall, located at 42 Main Street. In addition to in person voting on election day, Vote by Mail is a permanent option for all Massachusetts voters. You can register to do so in the following ways:

  1. Submit a signed application via email, mail or fax to the town clerk’s office: Massachusetts Vote by Mail Application (state.ma.us) It must include a signature that can be compared to your handwritten signature. Electronic signatures, scanned applications, and photos of applications are acceptable.
  2. Use the State’s Mail-in Ballot Application System, found here: Mail-In Ballot Registration Status : Search (state.ma.us)

Any mail-in ballot must be requested in writing by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 26th. Your application can only be accepted if it has reached the town clerk’s office by the deadline. Apply as early as possible, especially if your ballot will need to be mailed out of town. The U.S. Postal Service recommends allowing up to 7 days for mail delivery. To ensure you receive your ballot with enough time to mail it back, you should apply 2-3 weeks before Election Day. The last day to register to vote in time to participate in the Annual Town Election is Wednesday, May 24th, 9-11am and 3-5pm in the town clerk’s office.

The Annual Town Meeting will be held a few weeks before the election on Saturday, May 20th at 9:30am and is currently planned to take place in the John James Memorial Hall at 42 Main Street. The last day to register to vote in time to participate in the Annual Town Meeting is Wednesday, May 10th, 9-11am and 3-5pm, in the town clerk’s office.
