Updated COVID-19 Mask Guidelines for Town Facilities – Effective Friday, August 6, 2021 until further notice

Posted on October 26, 2021

Novel Coronavirus COVID-19

For the general public:

  • All visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing indoors
  • Entrance doors will be unlocked during usual business hours to allow public entry
  • Face masks and hand sanitizer will be readily available in buildings

For employees:

  • Employees and town officials, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask indoors unless they are alone in their own socially distanced work area

These guidelines conform to the guidelines issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding COVID-19 and the surge of transmission and infections from new variants.  The Select Board, as advised by the Board of Health, is requiring these guidelines.  Changes to these guidelines will be made as conditions either improve or deteriorate.

Note that the level of community transmission has spread rapidly through Massachusetts from initial infections only on Cape Cod.

You can monitor the level of community transmission using the CDC county view data tracker at https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view.   Enter the state and county of any area in the country to see the level of transmission.
