Goshen Town Forum Announced - Thursday, March 21st - 6PM

posted Feb 25, 2019, 10:24 AM by Goshen Webmaster

You are cordially invited to a Goshen Town Forum on Developing Age Friendly Communities, sponsored by the Goshen COA, scheduled for Thursday March 21st at 6pm in the town hall.

Is Goshen an age friendly community? The reason to come together is to address the growing impact of the aging of our town’s population and how we might all begin to look at options for making aging at home and staying in our community easier. We are inviting members of boards to join us to explore how their work overlaps with our work in the COA in meeting the needs and desires of our seniors. We urge anyone else from the community who is interested in this important topic to join us.

Goshen is one of the towns selected by the Massachusetts Councils on Aging to participate in a grant they awarded to the Northern Hilltown Consortium of Councils on Aging to look at how livable our communities are and could be as we all grow older. The forum will be facilitated by Jan Gibeau, Chair of the Northern Hilltowns Consortium of COAs.

If a 6pm start time gets in the way of your supper, don’t worry, we will serve a light dinner beforehand.

This forum is not just for and about the elderly!  It is about planning for the future of everyone who lives and wants to stay in Goshen.

Please join us for this important meeting.  We need your help!
